Monthly Reading Poultry Sale Saturday, April 30, 2011

Poultry including Waterfowl, Wildfowl and Eggs.

The sound of chickens will soon be heard again at Reading Market, as Thimbleby & Shorland announce they will be holding regular poultry sales there starting on Saturday 30th April. Auctioneer and T&S Partner Richard Dance said “It is many years since we last had poultry at the Market, but due to popular demand we have decided to re-introduce them, and will be having our first sale on the 30th April. The sales will be held alongside our regular monthly General sales, and we hope to have at least 200 lots of poultry plus some hatching eggs for incubation at our first sale. The interest in poultry, including wildfowl and waterfowl, has grown dramatically in the last few years and more and more people have been asking us when we are going to re-introduce these sales.”

So, if you are likely to be looking for something to take your mind off the Royal Couple’s honey moon, fancy keeping a few chickens to have a fresh egg for breakfast every morning, or like the idea of an Indian Runner on your pond then come down to the Market on Saturday 30th.
