The
Land Agency Department offers advice to landowners
and occupiers on all matters relating to land
ownership and occupation, including the following:
Compulsory Purchase and Compensation
Dealing with utilities and negotiating easements,
contractors compounds, early entry and compensation
claims in relation to water, gas, electricity,
oil and highways.
Farm and Land Management
Preparation of budgets, cash flows and business
planning. Drawing up contract farming and
share farming agreements and cropping/grazing
licences. Complete management service consisting
of preparation of agreements, handling day
to day work and collection of rent.
Forestry
Advice and preparation of English Woodland
Grant Scheme applications including Farm Woodland
Payments and applications for felling licences.
Single Payment Scheme
Advice on and completion of annual
Single Payment Scheme claims. Registration
and changes to parcels on the Rural Land Register.
Transfer of Entitlements. Dealing with queries
arising from applications and all matters
with the Rural Payments Agency.
Grant Scheme Applications
Application for grants under the Rural Development
Programme for England including all Environmental
Stewardship schemes. Management of closed
scheme agreements including Countryside Stewardship,
Organic Farming Scheme.
Planning
Advice on planning policy. Completion
and submission of small scale planning applications
and appeals.
Landlord and Tenant
Preparation of Farm Business Tenancies and
grazing licenses.
Negotiating rent reviews, end of tenancy and
all matters relating to occupation of land
under the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986 and
Agricultural Tenancies Act 1995.
Telecommunications
Agreeing terms of leases for greenfield sites,
renegotiation of existing leases and rent
reviews. Liaising with all parties throughout
the whole project and ensuring all relevant
wayleaves are completed.
Valuations
Completion of formal valuations of land, property
and deadstock for taxation, family division,
insurance, stocktaking and all other purposes.
Wayleaves and Easements
Negotiation of wayleaves and easements for
telecoms, electricity and all other purposes
across private land.
