Lots that are assets of a V.A.T. Registered Business will be sold on a Tax Exclusive basis with V.A.T. added to the Buyers’ accounts.

THE FOLLOWING NOTES ARE IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE COMPLETING THE ENTRY FORM

1. Please complete the entry form supplying as much information as possible in order to assist in compiling the catalogue.
2. The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse items which they do not believe to be suitable for this sale or forward these items to another suitable auction.
3. The closing date for entries is 5 weeks before the sale but the Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse entries if a section becomes full before this. Spaces will not be reserved for items until full details have been supplied.
4. Please complete and sign the VAT declaration. It is a condition of entry that Vendors must inform the Auctioneers if they are registered for VAT and the items entered are assets of a business.
5. All items are accepted on the understanding that they must not be sold prior to being auctioned. Any transactions that occur as a result of exposure in the sale and catalogue must be conducted through the Auctioneers and are subject to standard commission charges as listed. All lots that are accepted and offered are subject to Thimbleby & Shorland’s conditions of sale which are listed in the catalogue and on our website.
6. Please supply high resolution photos of all items being entered.
7. There is a £24 entry fee for each vehicle entered, which can be sent with the entry form or paid by contacting the office with credit/debit card details.
8. All vehicles are to be delivered to Reading Auction Centre on the day prior to the sale, or earlier by arrangement. All other items to be delivered not less than 2 weeks before the sale, for cataloguing and photographing.
9. Payment to Vendors will be made 2 weeks after the sale date, or later upon receipt of payment by the Buyer. No interest is payable to Vendors on sales monies held by the Auctioneers.
10. Individual lots should have an estimated value of not less than £30
11. Entries must be accompanied by good quality images.  These can be sent by WhatsApp to 07841 974296
12. Lots will not be accepted unless approved by the Auctioneers
13. No lots will be accepted on the day of sale
14. There is a limit on the number of lots that can be accepted so entries will be taken on a “first come first served” basis

Please supply as much of the following information as possible on the entry form, along with good quality photographs.
If any reserves are required then these must be stated on the entry form.  Any changes must be notified in writing before the sale commences.

   Colour/type of leather (black/brown); webbing or synthetic material; type of mountings (brass/white metal); breastcollar or collar (size); size of horse or pony to fit; if for single/pair/team/tandem; if not complete please state what’s missing; name of maker if known, and age and condition of harness

   Name of artist, whether print or oil/watercolour, and size.
3. MODELS
   Maker’s name and size.
4. BOOKS
   Author, title, edition, and year of publication.
5. ALL OTHER ITEMS
   Full description, age, condition, and maker’s name and size where applicable
