Auction Administrator

Salary: Circa £25,000 p.a. plus overtime
Hours: Flexible starting between 8.00 and 9.00 finishing between 4.00 and 5.00 Monday to Friday, plus one Saturday per month
Holidays: 20 working days per year, plus Bank Holidays

Job Description

Production of monthly Antiques & General Auction catalogue including:

  • Entry of Vendors and lot descriptions into bespoke Auction System
  • Producing a Word version of the catalogue
  • Uploading photographs and catalogue to
  • Dealing with the cataloguing of vehicles (other than seized vehicles), including HPI checks
  • Checking Vendor information prior to post-sale pay out

Producing catalogues for other sales as required

Dealing with instructions from the Official Receiver including:

  • Contacting bankrupts re valuation and collection of assets
  • Arranging collection of assets
  • Arranging sale of assets by auction
  • Accounting to OR following sale

Providing auction administration at sales including:

  • Registering buyers
  • Entering details of sold lots
  • Raising invoices and taking payment
  • Assisting in post-sale administration
  • Attending at off-site sales including nights away from home as necessary

Providing general administration assistance to a Director including:

  • raising invoices
  • producing reports
  • communicating with clients

Assisting with the administration of the sale of Seized Vehicles from time to time

Organising the annual Sale of Shetland Ponies
