Location: Central Reading
Due to our expanding sale calendar we urgently need an additional member of staff to assist in our busy Salerooms
The management of our salerooms dealing with the sale of Antiques, Furniture, Collectables, Books, Prints & Pictures, Jewellery, China & Glass; as well as General Household items, garden machinery, and tools. You will be responsible for checking in goods for sale and checking out goods that have been purchased; as well as the preparation of the salerooms for cataloguing and sale. You will also arrange the collection of items from clients’ premises.
The role would suit someone with Saleroom Porter experience, but while that would be an advantage, a demonstrable knowledge of and interest in Antiques is essential. Inevitably it will be necessary to lift and move heavy items such as furniture.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience in a customer facing position
- Good communication skills
- IT literacy
- Good organisational ability
- To be able to start the job within a month
This is a full-time position: 40 hours per week 8 am to 5 pm with 1 hour for lunch, and 1 Saturday per month. 20 days holiday in addition to bank holidays.
